Were looking for an Experienced Landscaper for a Direct Report location in the Kalamazoo / Portage area; this position requires a Driver's license - as well as for the Portage Branches open needs. RATE OF PAY IS DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES YOU HOLD, STARTING RANGE OF PAY IS $14 - $17 PER HOUR.
Candidates with Landscaping experience on their resumes will be prioritized and if it is found after further steps in the process, that you do not have professional Landscaping experience, we will move on to Candidates that do.
Heres what youd do :
Youd create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and / or public properties. Youd safely operate commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.
Youd be responsible for :
- Cutting turf, trimming and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment
- Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches
- Planting and maintaining flower beds, and applying mulch
- Picking up trash and debris
- Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
- Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
