What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Engineering Coordinator position at Brightwing?
Responsibilities -
- Overall representative from Chief group for build and test activities.
- Manages build complexity and delivery from trans lab in the context of overall program timing.
- Management across programs.
- First interface for perspective for all programs and build phases.
- First responder for parts fitment, issues.
- Create and manage build book.
- Accepting, receipt, and dispersal in trans lab of returned EDM builds and PIMs(mis builds, failures, etc.).
- Organizing and tracking parts, returns, builds.
- Coordinating EOL test, first issue responder, scheduling, and timing. Providing EOL triage.
- EOL configuration management by EDM variant (cables, SW, dyne integration).
- Parts supply for test teams that need new parts. Planning, scheduling, and Parts tracking within engineering.
- First responder / triage for EDM issues reported from customer at CTC (dyne/vehicle/etc).
- Attending to operator and technician concerns about products, helping to ensure issues are noted and lessons learned are implemented. Support here useful.
- Flashing PIMs for EDM builds
- BOM Management including plan for every part
- Management of EDM spares for fleet
Qualifications - Education details
Required Skills -
- Onsite 4-5 days per week
- Ability to interface with personnel at all levels in the company, from VP’s to assembly line personnel
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 1 years of experience in automotive (preferred in the product design release precesses).
- Understanding of automotive powertrain.
- Knowledge of electronic bill of material systems, and CAD systems, preferably TeamCenter.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite /365 (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Teams etc).
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
Preferred Skills -
- Masters Degree in Engineering
- Previous experience managing prototype build operations in the automotive industry.
- Understanding of powertrain systems, troubleshooting, safety training, etc.
- Knowledge of the various tools used to collect battery data
