Position Summary:
The Shop Foreman is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficient workflow, quality standards, and adherence to project deadlines. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Shop Foreman plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and fostering a productive and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Manage and mentor shop personnel, including mold makers, CNC machinists, and apprentices.
- Assign and prioritize work schedules to meet production deadlines.
- Provide on-the-job training to employees to enhance skill levels and productivity.
- Production Oversight:
- Monitor daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO to align shop activities with company goals.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all parts and molds meet Elite Mold's stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress and completed projects.
- Identify and address non-conformance issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among shop personnel.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and EOS processes.
- Work closely with the CEO to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, employee performance, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and hiring decisions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training or journeyman certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mold manufacturing or CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding, tooling, and machining processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
- Familiarity with CNC programming (e.g., MasterCam) and machine setup.
- Experience with 3D metal printing and modern manufacturing technologies is a plus.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
