We are a growing Clinical Research Organization (CRO) dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality, and efficient clinical research solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for our CRO. This role involves building strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their clinical research needs, and presenting tailored solutions to drive growth and revenue for the company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the clinical research industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify potential clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors. Develop strategies to engage with decision-makers and influencers to generate new business leads.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their clinical research needs and challenges, and present appropriate CRO services and solutions.
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives. Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for expansion.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients. Ensure proposals are competitive, accurate, and align with client expectations.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions are agreed upon. Work closely with the legal team to finalize agreements.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with project management, clinical operations, and other departments to ensure a seamless handover of new projects and to provide ongoing support to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build professional relationships, stay informed about industry trends, and promote the company's services.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve business development efforts.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
