Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
- Maintain accurate records of processed items
- Monitor and operate sterilization equipment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
Experience
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
- Experience in inventory management within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with aseptic technique practices
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred but not required
