Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Chicago, IL (Bedford Park)-100% Onsite
Pay Range: $38/HR-$41/HR (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Senior Accountant with our client located in Chicago, IL (Bedford Park). Our client is a well-established organization who is an industry leader within HVAC services. They currently are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their organization on an open-ended contract basis for approximately 3 months. This Senior Accountant would primarily be responsible for preparing & posting journal entries, preparing monthly financial statements, and analyzing monthly financial data. The Senior Accountant would be reporting directly to the Controller and would ideally be able to interview and start shortly after.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions on a timely and accurate basis in support of the company's monthly accounting close process
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Execute month-end general ledger procedures, roll-forwards and reconciliations as well as other recurring accounting processes in accordance with proper accounting controls
- Prepare financial statements for review by accounting department management
- Analyze and report financial information including identification of trends, patterns, variances and exceptions
- Support the company's monthly management reporting and debt compliance processes through preparation of accurate and timely supporting schedules
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
- 4 years of related experience
- Advanced Excel, need knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s
- Industry experience preferred
