- 10 years managing social media strategy, community management and content creation across social platforms for CPG companies
- 7 years experience building, leading, and evolving teams to maximize efficiency and achieve company goals
- Experience pitching and winning new business on behalf of an agency
- Trustworthy client partner and thought leader who can navigate difficult conversations with tact and empathy
- A clear understanding of social media’s role within an omnichannel marketing ecosystem and experience collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure it is integrated
- A passion for creativity and storytelling, with hands-on experience producing impactful consumer experiences through social media
- Comfortable taking initiative and making firm decisions with conviction as part of a small and mighty team
- Strong presentation skills, ability to convey a clear vision in a compelling and persuasive way
- A strong command of all social media platforms, with deeply proficient knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
- Working knowledge of influencer, affiliate, and paid media marketing
- Up to date with pop culture and trends and proven experience activating on them on behalf of a brand
- CPG and family-focused brand experience preferred
- Enjoys an ever-evolving, fast-paced job, with the ability to independently manage workload and shift priorities when necessary
What You’ll Do:
CLIENT STEWARDSHIP & NEW BUSINESS
- Serve as a primary point of contact and senior strategic counselor for all social media needs across agency’s client portfolio, building and nurturing client/agency relations
- Manage and execute against client budgets, maintaining ultimate responsibility for quality execution and delivery against client expectations
- Support the business growth team on identifying prospective clients, pitching leads, and securing new business
AGENCY LEADERSHIP
- Contribute to the overall growth of the agency by evolving its social media practice and approach
- Oversee junior members of the social team, fostering their professional growth and development
- Stay up to speed on industry best practices and serve as the agency’s social media thought leader
- Develop and present strategic recommendations, POVs, and summary documents
STRATEGY & CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
- Leverage social listening, qualitative, and quantitative research to inform ongoing development of strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PR, paid media, and paid influencer, to create fully integrated marketing campaigns for clients
- Coordinate with paid media team to recommend paid social budgets, gain client approval, implement plans, and track and reconcile spending
- Constantly hunt for social and cultural signals, new audience opportunities, new trends, new platform behaviors, and new content opportunities
MEASUREMENT & OPTIMIZATION
- Set KPIs and analyze monthly, quarterly and yearly results to inform strategy optimization and decision-making
