**Accounting Specialist Position**
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team at a respected organization in West Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AP & AR and excellent communication skills.
**Responsibilities:**
- Process customer invoices and payments, and complete daily bank deposits
- Manage customer accounts and respond to customer inquiries regarding invoicing and payment issues
- Review and process accounts payable invoices, and maintain vendor accounts and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoicing and payment issues
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and prepare supporting documentation for check runs to ensure accuracy
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and perform account reconciliations
- Participate in special projects as needed
**Requirements:**
- 2 years of AP & AR experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
