Controller/CFO

Our growing multi location jewelry client is looking for a Controller/CFO in Miami (Kendall).

*Bilingual is Required*

The Controller/CFO will oversee financial operations, accounting, compliance, and strategic financial planning across all six locations (2 more coming this year). This role requires expertise in managing banking relationships, alternative loan portfolios (pawn loans), and multi-location retail finance. The ideal candidate will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare consolidated financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) for all locations.
• Monitor KPIs: sales performance, loan portfolio health, inventory turnover, and cash flow.
• Optimize cash management across All operations.

Accounting & Compliance

• Ensure GAAP compliance and oversee month/year-end close processes.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance with pawnbroking/financial regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, state licensing).
• Implement internal controls to safeguard high-value inventory and mitigate fraud risks.

Banking & Alternative Loan Management

• Manage relationships with banking partners, including loan syndication and credit facilities.
• Oversee pawn loan portfolio: underwriting, risk assessment, collections, and delinquency rates.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state lending laws and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise accounting staff and foster cross-department collaboration (operations, sales, inventory).

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Experience: 7 years in financial management, preferably in pawnbroking, alternative lending, or multi-unit retail.
• Expertise in banking operations, loan management, and regulatory compliance.
• QB Online a Plus
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Bilingual in Spanish; Family but Fast paced Environment
