What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance- Hotel position at Brilliant®?
Our client is looking for a Director of Finance for their large, well known hotel property in Midtown.
The Director of Finance will oversee the Accounting department and maintain accounting standards within established policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred.
- 3 years’ experience as an Director of Finance for a hotel.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain all contracts, leases, permits, licenses, and other legal and financial records.
- Implement and support property operating policies and procedures.
- Coordinate all internal financial training and development of department heads and managers.
- Responsible for coordination, execution and action necessary for monthly meetings and audits, including but not limited to credit meetings, cash audits, ledger reviews, etc...
- Accountable for payroll processing and recording of hours and wages.
- Participation of month end closing and reconciliation processes.
- Reconciliation and submission of monthly state, local, and use taxes.
- Assist with annual external audits and testing requests.
- Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashiering, and income audit, including but not limited to, training of accounting team (2-3), ensuring collection of receivables, timely and accurate AP postings, and daily reconciliation of cash receipts.
