Job Title : Network Cabling Technician

Location : Chicago, IL - does require some travel around Chicago

Pay Range : $25 / hr

Assignment Length : 8 weeks potential to extend

Position Overview :

The Network Cabling Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of network infrastructure. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and organization of structured cabling systems to support seamless connectivity across designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry standards and safety protocols, along with technical expertise in network cabling and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Cabling Installation and Maintenance :

• Install, route, secure, and terminate network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, etc.) in walls, ceilings, conduits, and other structured cabling environments.
• Ensure cables are properly labeled, organized, and secured in accordance with industry standards.
• Mount and install network outlets, patch panels, racks, and other related hardware.

Requirements :

Physical ability to work in diverse environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and elevated platforms. Capability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites if needed. Certifications such as BICSI Technician, CompTIA Network , or other relevant credentials (preferred).
