  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with scope, taking ownership of financial management.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide financial analysis to track spend.
  • Identify and manage risks, reporting progress and issues through established governance structures (e.g., steering committees).
  • Assemble and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring the right mix of technical and business resources.
  • Ensure functional and technical requirements are well-documented and aligned with business needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, overseeing their contributions to project deliverables.
  • Maintain quality control over project outputs and deliverables throughout the lifecycle.
  • Partner with release managers to oversee the transition of changes into production environments.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to plan communication strategies and user training related to project outcomes.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate project implementations.
  • Ensure a seamless handover of completed projects to service operations or local IT teams.
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance and skill development opportunities.
  • Support smaller project initiatives by mentoring technical leads and sharing expertise in project management processes.
  • Lead IT transformation efforts, including optimizing IT landscapes and introducing new sourcing strategies.
  • Foster collaboration between U.S.-based sites and global teams.
  • Drive the establishment of a Program Management Office for North America, including processes, tools, and reporting structures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • PMP certification or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects with budgets of $3–$5 million or more, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong expertise in managing vendor relationships and service providers.
  • Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to engage business leaders, gather requirements, and manage demand.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Experience in setting up and running a PMO, including establishing processes and metrics.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel domestically within North America.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with tools like Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards and performance metrics for project oversight.
