Who You Are:

What You Will Do:
- Develop and Maintain Medical Vocabularies: Create, manage, and standardize a wide range of medical terms, including those related to diagnoses, symptoms, treatments, medications, and procedures.
- Terminology Mapping and Integration: Align and map various medical terminologies (e.g., ICD-10, SNOMED CT, LOINC) to ensure seamless communication between different healthcare information systems.
- Ensure Terminology Consistency: Oversee the use of consistent, standardized terminology across the organization, promoting accurate and clear documentation practices.
- Support Clinical Documentation: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the accurate documentation of clinical information using standardized terminology and ensure it meets regulatory and clinical standards.
- Adhere to Regulatory Standards: Ensure compliance with national and international healthcare terminology standards, including HIPAA, HL7, and other relevant regulations.
- Training and Education: Provide training and support to healthcare professionals in the proper use of standardized terminology and new terminology systems or tools.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits of clinical data and documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to established standards.
- Research and Development: Stay updated on developments in medical terminology, healthcare standards, and emerging technologies, and incorporate these insights into the organization's systems and practices.
What You Will Need (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
- Master Degree
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance
