Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will, under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, serve as the point of contact for Human Resources support and handle day-to-day operations for our corporate headquarters and a select portion of our offsite contract teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Administration of benefits to include point of contact for employees; providing analytical and technical support as needed; process benefit enrollments, terminations, changes, 401(k) rollovers, distributions, billing and compliance auditing; and maintenance of employee benefits files and records.
  • Provide excellent customer service support to internal and external customers; establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with management and employees.
  • Manage the new employee onboarding process to include new employee orientation, communications, benefits enrollment, and systems training.
  • Administer employee offboarding to include coordination with other departments, vendors, exit interview coordination, and updates in HR information system (HRIS).
  • Create and update employee records within the HRIS; evaluate, analyze, audit, and maintain job-related data within the HRIS.
  • Assist with the Companys performance management program to include, annual appraisals and 30-60-90-days reviews/surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government laws, rules and regulations (e.g. ACA, ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, and Title VII), and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure required filings/testing and notices are submitted and distributed in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with drafting Company communication for HR related matters.
  • Provide support to the HR team and employee population regarding employee relations concerns, projects/programs as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing employment and benefits administration.
  • Previous experience working in the government contracting industry, specifically knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA), is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HR systems (Paylocity knowledge is a plus).
  • Trustworthy and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of direct HR experience
  • 2 years experience with principles and practices in HR administration
  • 2 years experience with Employee Benefit Programs like Medical, Dental, FSA, 401k, Life, AD&D, FMLA, COBRA, Disability, Workers Compensation, and Leave administration
  • PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
