We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications by identifying bugs and issues before product releases.You will work closely with the development, product, and other cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.Create, execute, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform manual functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, and exploratory testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications.Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).Ensure all reported bugs are well-documented with clear reproduction steps.Validate fixes and perform regression testing for resolved issues.Work closely with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes.Ensure test coverage for all new features and changes in the application.Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a QA perspective.Report on QA metrics like defect density, severity, and status updates during team meetings.Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.2 years of experience in manual software testing.Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.Experience with bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla.Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.Solid knowledge of web and mobile testing, including cross-browser and responsive testing.Ability to write and execute clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills to articulate issues effectively with developers and stakeholders.Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.Experience with basic scripting or automation is a plus.Understanding of performance testing concepts.
