What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at BRIMAR INDUSTRIES LLC?
The Shipping Coordinator will collaborate on the daily execution of receiving, planning, and shipping of products utilizing the appropriate mode of transport. The coordinator will work cross functionally with other departments on billing, payments, transportation vendor management, load tendering, track and trace, as well as reporting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Update systems to reflect correct customer information such as phone, address, and other necessary information in order to ship properly and ensure successful delivery.
- Reviews internal and third-party order intake to identify and help resolve any issues that would inhibit effective and efficient delivery.
- Issue routing information and shipping instructions to ensure correct and timely deliveries.
- Provide support with data entry.
- Provide freight quotes to sales teams.
- Maintains production/shipping records.
- Assists in scheduling transportation for all accepted orders to ensure efficient equipment and facility utilization, to minimize inventories and to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Schedules loads, prepares shipments on preferred shipping platforms and and processes shipping paperwork
- Manage the tracking of products orders to assure products arrive on time to the correct location
- Reviewing orders and processing order changes, returns and cancellations and communicate with appropriate internal departments.
- Reviews production records for accuracy to ensure the product requirement has been met. Inputs the records into the mainframe system.
- Assists with packing and shipping product orders in a timely manner.
- Be the product expert in our team; available to answer all product-related questions
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Associates or Technical degree preferred.
- 3 years previous experience with manufacturing or transportation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications required including excel.
- Experience with HD Supply, Amazon, Zoro, MSC preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated teamwork, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
