Indiana Program Associate
Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating dialogue around mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy. In 2015, BC2M launched a student-led initiative at the high school level aimed at increasing awareness and education about mental health in a supportive environment. Through campus clubs dedicated to mental health conversations, the High School Program gives teens a platform to share their voices, empowers students to educate one another, and creates a culture of peer support within schools. In 2024, BC2M will work with over 520 high schools across 42 states in the US, with the support of Regional staff in Arizona, NYC, the wider North East, Indiana, Northern and Southern California.
Summary of Position
The Indiana Program Associate will play a vital role in supporting the growth and success of the initiative across the state. The person in this position will be an ambassador of BC2M’s vision and will support community and state partnerships and events. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Senior Indiana Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Outreach and Communication
● Present on the BC2M High School Program in various settings, including classrooms, school
districts, and with potential community partners.
● Support the Indiana BC2M team with community and state partnerships.
Club and Region Management
● Support and manage 55 high school clubs that are enrolled in the BC2M Program
- Support the interim management of several middle school clubs, if needed.
● Work with students, faculty advisors, counselors and school administrators to promote and
build BC2M’s community.
● Work closely with the Indiana team to support the progress of goals for the region.
● Collect and track data points from each of the clubs and report on these as needed to the
High School team via resources such as Salesforce, Google sheets.
Regional Partnerships
● Work with the Indiana team to identify suitable community partners for the region.
● As needed, provide updates on the regional partnerships to BC2M’s Sr. Director of Programs.
Content Creation and Event Planning
● Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of BC2M’s Annual Student Summit in
Indianapolis each Fall
● Work with the High School team to develop and create programmatic content and resources
● Assist with the management and coordination of the Indiana Teen Advisory Board.
Additional Functions:
● Assist BC2M HQ staff with various program roles as needed.
● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
● Ability to travel to schools.
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field
· 4 years of experience with youth required.
· Highly skilled at public speaking
· Three professional references
· Valid driver's license and access to a car.
