About this Role:
This position is responsible for overseeing site staff, ensuring safe working conditions, and maintaining productivity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Superintendent to manage day-to-day crews and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
* Directly responsible for leading a crew consisting of Journeyman, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen
* Lays out work, ensures materials and tools are available, and meets construction schedules
* Interacts with the Superintendent or Project Manager and may oversee complete installation on smaller projects
Working Conditions:
* May require working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow)
* Must operate equipment without climate control
* Utilize sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns) and maintain required hand tools (up to 30 lbs.)
* Wear personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety glasses, harnesses, respirators as required)
* Work 8 hours/day, night shift, 40 hours/week, with overtime as needed
* Valid driver's license and own transportation required
Physical Requirements:
* Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
* Lift up to 51 lbs. by oneself
* Good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)
* Access all levels of buildings/structures using O.S.H.A.-approved ladders or stairs
* Work constantly on one's feet
* Use 2-handed tools/equipment (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
* Perform work at various heights (up to 90') from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other safe work areas
Qualifications and Education:
* Journeyman Certificate
* High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience
* Minimum 4 years of previous experience
* NCCCO (preferred, not required)

- Must be able to report to assigned job sites on time or as directed
- Monitors work in progress
- Evaluates fellow employees' work performance accurately
- Trains field personnel in technical skills and safety methods
