We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment, working alongside professionals to support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end closing processes
- Assist in preparation of account analysis and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.
- Help prepare journal entries and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes including but not limited to processing of overhead invoices, company credit card statements, and cash receipts.
- Assist in maintaining and tracking financial transactions and documentation.
- Work with internal teams to gather necessary financial data for reporting.
- Assist with preparation of supporting documents for annual profit planning.
- Other duties and ad-hoc accounting projects as required
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and other Office applications (experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUP a plus).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Working Conditions:
- The Corporate Accounting Intern’s work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann’s corporate office
- This role requires regular office hours, with potential for extended hours during reporting cycles
- Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds and some
- Standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing
