As an intern for the IT department, you will be exposed to various disciplines within IT such as Support Services, Cybersecurity and Cloud/Networking technologies. Some of the areas of responsibility will include:
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring hardware, software, and peripheral for end users
- Assist the Helpdesk Support team with Tier 1 issues for end user technical support
- Utilize a helpdesk ticketing system for tracking issues
- Setting up iPhones and iPads for end users
- Creating new user accounts in Microsoft Entra
- Configure internet hot spots for job sites
- Learn how to utilize cutting edge security tools for Cybersecurity monitoring
- Develop forms using Microsoft Forms and learn how to use PowerAutomate
- Perform other IT related tasks if needed
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, technical training or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
- Ability to be organized, solve problems and prioritize tasks
- Self-motivated and driven to learn new skills
- Excellent customer service
Working Conditions
- The IT Intern’s work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann’s corporate office
- This role requires regular office hours, with potential for extended hours during reporting cycles
- Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds
