- This is a hybrid position, reporting to our Farmer's Branch Corporate Office 2-3x/week.
Brinks Home Operations team is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst who will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis Operations Finance Team. This individual will assist in the preparation of financial reports, conduct data analysis, and provide insights that will help drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Data Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast and provide variance analysis.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Assist in the implementation of process improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to drive business growth, improve profitability, or reduce cost-to-serve.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, highlighting areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role. Internships or relevant coursework may be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Experience with financial modeling and data visualization software is a plus, but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Analytic skills, including mining, evaluating, analysis, and visualization using tools such as Tableau, BI and Excel preferred. SQL experience a plus, but not required.
