WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead, evolve and mature the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes; take ownership of forecast model and lead all ad-hoc scenario analysis and financial modeling as needed by the business
- Manage high-performing accounting team; review and ensure high quality of financial statements generated after each monthly/quarterly close. Be able to explain significant fluctuations vs. prior periods and compared to plan.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making and drive business growth
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for executive leadership; monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to improve financial outcomes
- Provide business partner support and collaborate with key business leaders to ensure alignment, drive growth and optimize performance
- Assist in identifying, defining, and evolving key business processes to support scaling the business
- Own development of materials for management reviews, reporting and board meetings
- Own annual process for 409a valuation; support controllership as needed for audit and related processes
- Oversee risk management processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related fields preferably in a leadership role
- Experience building and managing high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Has in-depth understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Quickbooks, Excel, and financial modeling software
- Solid analytical and problem solving abilities, with high attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
AND IDEALLY
- CPA, CMA or MBA
- Knowledgeable about SaaS company business model dynamics and key metrics
- Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment
