Job Responsibilities
Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for supervising and directing maintenance departmentDevelop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of facility and groundsSupervise schedules for repair and maintenance contractors.24 hour responsibilityParticipate in facility inspections and develop a plan of correction for Maintenance Services deficiencies notedEnsure that supplies are requested, approved, and ordered according to policy.Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staffQualifications, Skills & Physical Demands
Previous long-term care experience, requiredExperienced in Department of Health Surveys and Developing Plan of Correction1 year's supervisory experience requiredMastery level of technical expertise (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural knowledge)Possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant actionPossesses the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the publicHas a positive attitude and cheerful dispositionStrives to ensure the safety of our residentsFollows procedures and safety precautionsHas excellent leadership and communication skillsRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reachingRequires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weightsWe are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
