Job Summary
Corrections Collector
Under the direct supervision of the Corrections Field Services Manager, the Corrections Collector is responsible for the performance of a wide variety of Covid collections (including but not limited to anterior nares, oral fluid, and saliva) and data entry while stationed in a correctional facility. It is the Corrections Collector’s job to provide a high level of professionalism and to promote a working atmosphere with a high quality of customer service. This position ensures individuals are serviced professionally, promptly, and accurately. This position will be stationed in a correctional facility.
Position Type: Full-time (temporary)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:30AM - 2:30PM
Location: SOL - California State Prison, Solano

Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets and attends to the needs or requests of individuals waiting for service.
Treats all clients with dignity and respect.
Supports and educates anxious clients to alleviate their discomfort.
Completes all new hire and ongoing trainings in the areas of customer service, data entry, and collections.
Accesses client information and process all paperwork with special attention to detail and accuracy.
Processes all specimen collections accurately and timely.
Maintains client confidentiality with all services.
Inputs data and maintains client information as needed.
Collects and processes antigen testing.
Verbally instructs clients in the correct processes for all services provided including collection procedures.
Abides by all requisition procedures.
Quality control and review of samples and requisition forms.
Provides shift coverage when needed due to staff illness, weekend coverage, and/or vacation coverage.
Completes other work related tasks.
Must take all assigned department and HR classes.
Must attend all department and HR meetings and trainings.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have valid car insurance.
Must pass eligibility to enter correctional facilities.
Medical field experience preferred.
Must be detail oriented.
Previous data entry experience and organizational skills.
Ability to handle high work volume accurately at a fast pace and to work independently of supervision.
Proficient in MS Office/Excel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Record maintenance skills.

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing while providing services to clients.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
