The Mobile Phlebotomist reports to the Client Service Manager and is responsible for performing services for our clients at their facilities and returning collected specimens to our main laboratory in Ontario, CA. The Mobile Phlebotomist performs blood draws and nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing from sites in Bakersfield County.

Duties and Responsibilities
Performs high volume drawing (50 per day) in an environment where the sole responsibility is to draw patients back-to-back.
Performs nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing.
Collects and transports specimen from patients and facilities to laboratory for immediate processing.
Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures.
Responsible for entering patient information data.
Maintains clean and healthy work environments.
Maintains high level of customer service at laboratory and client locations.
Must take all assigned Human Resources trainings and classes.
Responsible for attending all department and staff meetings.
Education and Experience
Highschool Diploma or GED.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) License, required.
CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience working with pediatric patients.
Previous experience in behavioral healthcare setting with knowledge of patient population served by the facility, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Record maintenance skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/or other basic written material.
Word processing and/or data entry skills.
Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing while providing services to patients.
Prolonged periods of driving in a vehicle.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
