Overview:
The Unit Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations while fostering a positive and professional rapport with all departments, residents, and families. This role involves managing and directing incoming phone calls and visitors, assisting with admissions and discharges, scheduling appointments, and arranging transportation.
Hours | Schedule: 40 hours per week with flexibility for weekends | 9am,-5:30pm
What you’ll do:
- Manages written and verbal communications
- Record management and EMR
- Direct and screen visitors.
- Scheduling and management of residents and visitors
- Maintains and updates the facility floor plan with current census information.
- Follow up with physicians to obtain signatures or provide documents.
- Assist with admissions and discharges.
- Ensures accurate vendor invoicing and good financial stewardship
- Assist the Director of Nursing with special projects.
What it takes:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
