What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Representative, Provider Support position at Brio Primary Care?
Position Overview:
This part-time, 20 hour per week position is a great opportunity to get started with Brio Primary Care at our Harrison Bridge location in Simpsonville, SC. The individual in this role works with Provider Support Services to handle administrative tasks relating to the Patient's Experience, as well as generating reports and other data entry projects related to Provider Support. Administrative tasks are expected to be completed in a timely, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. In addition, this role is responsible for clearly communicating with surrounding team members and departments as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Takes ownership of ensuring the "Brio Way" is experienced by Brio patients, families, and internal team members. Promotes an authentic, transparent work environment within the clinical areas.
- Carries out team short term and long-term goals for Provider Support Services.
- Works within ECW and hospital support sites in order to obtain needed records for patient care.
- Provides communication with the Provider Support and clinical team in regard to patient care when needed.
- Accesses the Provider Support document box and creates messages for the team when needed.
- Works within the Prior Authorization telephone encounter box.
- Assists the Prior Authorization specialist with completing Prior authorizations
- Works alongside provides to ensure documents for their patients are properly filled out and signed per protocol in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Medical office experience preferred but not required
- Experience with EMR systems, especially ECW, a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Comfortable with computer skills and excellent typing.
- Must be comfortable practicing candor and giving feedback to team members when appropriate.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Requires sitting, standing, and walking associated with normal physician office environment. Person may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles. Potential for needing to lift up to 20 pounds.
