Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate, Loan Closing to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the loan closing process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in facilitating smooth transactions and providing excellent service to our clients.
What you will do:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing loan closing documents, including, closing disclosures, promissory notes, and mortgage documents.
- Update due diligence list and review various due diligence items, including third-party reports.
- Oversee funding processes, including compiling settlement statement and coordinating wire transfers and disbursements.
- Maintain Closing Pipeline and follow up on post-closing items when needed.
- Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, title, counsel, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate loan closings.
- Identify and resolve potential closing issues proactively
- Verify that all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct final audits of loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before closing.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain closing procedures and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain organized records of loan files and closing documentation.
- Support the Loan Closing team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to loan closing processes.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the closing function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in loan processing, closing, or a related financial services role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance is a plus.
