Summary
The Senior Director, Brand Marketing is responsible for building brand strategy into activation for new product launches, core commercial innovations and brand initiatives to drive new levels of brand desirability and consumer growth. We seek a collaborative marketing leader to partner with cross functional teams such as Creative, Sales and Digital, to create seamless consumer experiences across all touch points with exceptional execution. The Senior Director will lead North America Trade Marketing at Sephora, Ulta and at our Salon retailers. This role will lead Briogeo’s Philanthropy and Sustainability efforts. The Senior Director will foster the growth and development of the brand marketing team. Beauty experience is highly preferred.
Role Responsibilities
- Create consumer insights-driven, best-in-class 360 marketing strategy and plans to drive relevancy, desirability and new consumer growth.
- Lead the Global Marketing calendar alignment against the brand’s priorities with cross functional partners, driving business objectives, sell-out and market share gain.
- Partner with the Creative team to develop creative assets to support 360 campaigns, champion the consumer voice and brand equity end to end.
- Support the activation of the Brand Positioning and Identity, and ensure Brand Pillars are consistently followed across channels
- Partner with the international team to help drive their business and ensure global alignment of brand execution.
- Lead consumer event strategy and execution with both in-house and agency teams.
- Lead cross-functional team in post-campaign analysis and learning, prioritizing the actionable insights recommendations for future programs.
- Lead team responsible for Philanthropy and Sustainability strategy to drive purpose-led connection with our brand. Ensure Sustainability deliverables are aligned with Retailer and company goals.
- Help identify and execute strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve process and ways of working.
- Develop and coach direct reports to maximize their potential.
- Lead team responsible for Trade Marketing, primarily focused on Specialty Retailers (Sephora and Ulta) and Salon (BSG and SalonCentric)
- Build best-in-class relationships with retail marketing partners, developing differentiated marketing support and events based on retailer core consumer and needs
- Partner closely with Sales and Creative teams on Visual Merchandising strategy and execution, aligned with brand, consumer and product priorities
- Partner with Sales team to create materials for strategic retailer meetings

Requirements
- Minimum education level and experience: Bachelor’s degree and 10 years brand management experience, preferably in Beauty
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills that bring passion, energy, and inspiration to the forefront
- Deep experience planning and leading execution of 360 marketing plans
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, and collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners and agencies
- Previous experience with Sephora and Ulta preferred
- Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Thrives in an environment that is extremely fast-paced, entrepreneurial, rapidly changing, and consumer-centric

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison, to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $175,000 - $185,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
