Lipman Middle School is located just 9 minutes south of San Francisco in the city of Brisbane. We are a public middle school of approximately 120 students in grades six through eight.
At Lipman Middle School we promote a growth mindset and encourage our students to
persevere and engage at high levels in academic work. We strive to provide effective feedback to our students through a standards-based reporting system. We maintain a safe school climate by continually coordinating activities to improve student connectedness, promote student leadership, and excite students about learning.
Our program emphasizes conceptual understanding, teaching the Common Core State
Standards through year-long themes and project based learning units. We thread Lifeskills throughout our curriculum with the goal of providing our children the tools for citizenship and life.
The teacher hired for this position will teach two daily STEM core periods (Math and Science) and will teach one additional class (an elective to be determined by principal and successful applicant).
Using the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, the teacher will develop instructional units which will help students see the connections between mathematical concepts and their real-world science applications MATERIALS - Valid multiple subjects teaching credential (preferred) OR credentials authorizing instruction in mathematics AND science. Applicant must have or be immediately eligible for the California teaching credential or intern teaching credential.
- Experience teaching both math and science at the middle school level preferred.

Individuals must be authorized or eligible to teach in California. Please submit a copy of your valid CA multiple subjects teaching credential or documents that show your immediate eligibility for a CA teaching credential. The District welcomes University Interns. Salary : $65,520 - $106,589
