Marketing Sales Assistant

The Marketing/Sales Assistant will be instrumental in supporting marketing and sales objectives while reporting to the Marketing Supervisor. This role works on marketing projects, social media and customer focused follow up through new customer welcome packets. This person will share in growing our brand and leads while also being part of customer retention. The ideal candidate must be able to work with a team or independently as needed. Must be willing to learn the fire and security industry.

*This is an onsite position at our Centereach, NY Branch.

Duties will include:

• Maintain and monitor our social media accounts, including scheduling, creating and posting content, monitoring comments, and responding to inquiries.
• Strong Proofreading knowledge is preferred.
• Manage the new customer packets for residential customers with phone follow-up and potential leads.
• Potential to work on renewal paperwork.
• Update, create and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with tradeshows and various company events both on- and off-site.
• Assist with PR for Briscoe both internal and external exposure.
• Assist with clothing orders for all branches: ordering, stock inventory and distribution.
• Effective communication via phone, email and in writing with consumers and clients.
• Collaborate with internal departments and management to successfully execute marketing initiatives and special projects.
• Support supervisor when they are out of the office.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience within a marketing department setting preferred, but will consider a recent college graduate
• BA/BS required in a related discipline (e.g. advertising, PR, marketing, communications, etc.)
• Knowledge of social media platforms and trends
• Familiarity with Adobe CC software (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Creative writing and proofreading skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Photography and video production skills preferred
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for accuracy and consistency
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
