We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and regulatory reporting. The Accountant will work closely with various departments to support financial operations and provide insightful analysis.
Duties
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBook and Quicken for efficient financial management.
- Assist in corporate accounting tasks, including month-end close activities and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with legal teams on matters related to wills, trusts, and estate law as needed.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, regulatory reporting, and accounts receivable management.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
