Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and venipuncture.
- Provide education to patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Offer support for behavioral health issues, addressing both mental and emotional well-being.
Skills
- Proficient in infant care and understanding of pediatric health concerns.
- Strong skills in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication.
- Experience working in assisted living environments or with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology to inform clinical decision-making.
- Competence in venipuncture techniques for blood draws and IV insertions.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices to support holistic patient care.
- Ability to perform inhalation therapies as part of respiratory care protocols.
