Painter/Maintenance Assistant – Full Time

We are seeking an experienced  Painter / Maintenance Assistant  to help maintain the prestigious appearance of our luxury assisted living community. You will be painting, staining and touching up high-traffic areas that may not be accessible during the day. At times, you may come into contact with residents, resident families, other guests and team members, and we expect you to maintain a friendly, courteous and positive attitude at all times, so that these encounters are pleasant and professional. The care, attention to detail and superior customer service you bring to your maintenance responsibilities are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.

Additional responsibilities include :

• Applying paints, stains, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces
• Using and operating required tools and equipment skillfully and safely
• Mixing and matching paints and varnishes
• Estimating time and materials required on widely varied assignments
• Following Materials Safety Data Sheets and ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines, as appropriate
• Assisting with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, furniture assembly, snow removal, equipment repair, preventative maintenance and HVAC

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / qualifications :
