We are seeking out professional, caring, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) who also enjoy working outside to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who work in our Yard Service program.
This is a part time position 30 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am-3pm. Must be at least 18-years old with a valid driver's license, have a clean driving record, pass an internal drive along test, meet acceptable background check including with the DDS Abuse and Neglect Registry. Employees working 30 hours or more, accrue time off benefits monthly, insurance benefits and 401K with matching. - This position will require working outside for extended periods of time.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work cooperatively with all BARC employees, individuals served, families, supervisors, and other providers or professionals.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills in accordance with BARC policies.
- Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities.
- Observe policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of persons supported.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings. Some trainings are conducted after standard work hours, must be able to attend.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Paid Trainings Provided:
Employees are required to be certified in CPR/First Aid (six hours every 2 years), Physical Management Techniques (seven hours), Abuse and Neglect (three hours), etc. Some training may require formalized testing. Employees are paid for all trainings. Three-day new hire orientation Monday thru Wednesday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm is required. Existing certifications may be accepted and should be brought to orientation.
