What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Travel Coordinator position at Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation?
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist the staff members of the Behavioral Health Department to accommodate patient travel through Alaska Medicaid. The position will also provide other administrative support to mental health center staff in order to assure efficient, cost effective, and timely mental health services are provided to individuals and families in the Bristol Bay region.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prefer prior experience in Medicaid environment in obtaining authorizations for travel, meals, lodging, Medicaid care, and completing paperwork necessary to obtaining Medicaid travel.
- Ability to speak Yupik preferred.
- The individual must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Must be able to work with clients and treat them with care and respect.
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to organize and independently handle non-routine problems and situations with minimal supervision and sensitivity for clients and their families.
- Basic computer skills must be demonstrated in the use of e-mail, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel software programs.
