Job is performed in a combination of office work, work throughout occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Building assessments will be conducted throughout buildings including crawl spaces, attic spaces, and confined spaces. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

- Position will require field and non-field-related responsibilities. This position could require approximately 30% (or more) fieldwork and/or travel depending on project needs.
- Assists with development of work planning documents and fieldwork preparation.
- Provides proper documentation of soil and groundwater investigation activities to define nature and extent of contamination.
- Assists with data entry in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or access databases.
- Researches project sites and writes reports documenting field activities.
- Reviews and summarizes analytical data.

- Bachelor's degree engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Advanced degree in engineering, geology, earth sciences, or a related field.
- 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper Training and current 8-hour refresher. Other OSHA training (30-hour construction) is valued.
- As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
