IT Specialist; Endpoint Support JD 03-13-2025
OBJECTIVE: Provide the users of BBNA’s technologies with on-site professional technical support which promotes using BBNA’s various systems to their full potential and efficient processing times. Assist the Network Administrator on daily technologically related service issues.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results stated below. Job knowledge / documentation required: High School diploma post-secondary education/training in computer sciences or related technical field. Demonstrated familiarity with duties as described below including experience with database programs and troubleshooting. One to two years’ experience with Microsoft’s Windows Desktop OS and knowledge of maintaining Microsoft Server operating systems are desirable.
Ability to complete required training and certifications as identified by BBNA. May involve travel to training sites.
Requires: Able to work independently with minimal supervision; follow directions appropriately; and organize materials and time effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to install, maintain, update, repair desktop and mobile computing hardware and software. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a crisis. Proficient with TCP/IP networks. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory domain networks. Experience with Azure-joined Active Directory and MIP and Microix accounting systems is preferred.
Provide user support for BBNA’s Software Systems
by
- Working with administrative staff and program managers to assist with user
- Developing in-house training resources and internal user quick step reference
- Working directly with consulting agencies to troubleshoot problems and act as an on-site liaison for technical help.
- Maintaining user permissions across BBNA’s various IT systems.
Assist the Network Administrator on daily technologically related service issues
by
- Assisting Network Administrator with user onboarding and offboarding tasks, troubleshooting systems and performing preventative maintenance. Adding and editing users in the
BBNA Mitel IP-based phone system
- Assisting Network Administrator in supporting employees utilizing Microsoft 365 accounts and
- Installing software on users’ computers and troubleshoot problems as needed
- Assisting Program , through reporting platforms, to provide timely statistical data on client services and expenditures.
- Assisting staff with security features in
- Maintaining IT equipment to meet the program data access needs, including a written protocol for recycling/removal of hardware to meet the requirement of funding agency needs.
- Developing and recommending procedures related to technology such as reporting of suspected security breach of confidential data and follow-up requirements.
- Data access management
- Working with Network Administrator on program hardware
- Maintaining updated inventory of computer hardware, printers, laptops, scanners, mobile
- Supporting daily backup of BBNA’s software databases to secure off location
Keep Management Informed
by
- Meeting with Network Administrator weekly to bi-weekly to keep up on logistical issues and potential
- Making recommendations as needed to address IT issues/problems.
