Floral Designer and Sales Associate

We are a local floral and gift shop seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated and personable member to join our team. The right candidate will work well as a member of the team, but also be able to take initiative and can work independently.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments and work independently
• Flexibility to work various shifts, to include weekends
• Strong level of professionalism
• Knowledge of basic math
• Current unencumbered driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended period of times
• Lift up to thirty (30) pounds

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and welcome customers when they walk through the door
• Assist customers with their requests or questions
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
• Ring up sales and perform cashing out procedures
• Maintain inventory following company policies to ensure product is not wasted or expired
• Receive inventory and price merchandise as needed
• Knowledge of new products and inventory
• Possess the ability to learn and create floral arrangements
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining the coolers and setting up displays on the sales floor
• Collaborate with team to ensure the needs of the customer and company are met
• Organize orders and arrange for deliveries or pick-ups as needed following company policy
• Transport deliveries and ensure a proper handoff to recipient
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team. Expresses the understanding of the importance of teamwork.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and consistent workflows to work efficiently and effectively
• Interested in working with a team but also working independently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
