SALARY: $66,744.00 - $70,122.92*
- Hiring salary commensurate with education and experience.
STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The ITS Specialist, Project Management and Operations provides leadership and is responsible for, but not limited to, Information Technology Services (ITS) cost center management, direction of the College's portal myBristol, technology-related project management, and organization support. The ITS Specialist is a member of the leadership team within ITS and works closely on strategy, funding, and the overall management of the team. The ITS Specialist engages in active collaboration across the College to develop policies, processes, technology, and services that align with Bristol's mission and strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cost Center Management
Manage the cost centers for numerous ITS budgets, including operational and capital expenditures; provide advice and feedback to ITS leaders as it relates to operations, budgeting, and cost optimization; process all ITS expenditures and reconcile expenses.
Maintain effective working relationships with appropriate vendors, negotiate best value prices, and serve as a liaison to external purchasing consortia for technology purchases; remain current in the college's use of technology to promote innovation through purchasing efforts.
- Track contract renewal timelines, notify stakeholders of upcoming renewals, and facilitate timely renewals or terminations as needed; maintain records of current vendor agreements and support identifying any required amendments or updates.
- Gather information and compile reports to assist in the preparation of the annual budget request for the area; ensure that requests are aligned with the College's strategic priorities.
- Conduct regular budget reviews and provide insightful financial analysis to assist leaders in ITS with planning and decision-making.
Portal Management
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, content creation, and shared management for the College's core portal, myBristol; convene a best practices group to solicit and develop new content collaboratively.
- Audit and enhance myBristol functionality based on community feedback, focus groups, and research of newly available technologies and features.
- Develop training materials and media-rich content to ensure the community is aware and able to use all features within myBristol.
- Develop key performance indicators for relevant content within myBristol; curate content to drive myBristol use within the community.
Project Management
- Project manage cross-functional strategic initiatives, including long-term planning projects and the management of short-term issues; manage project timelines, track deliverables, and coordinate with stakeholders as needed to support project success.
- Plan and execute the deliverables of presentations for meetings, processes, or events. Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Convene and lead project team meetings, help define project objectives and ensure successful monitoring and control of projects. Collaborate with stakeholder leadership to understand business needs and manage relationships effectively.
- Document project progress, produce reports, and develop dashboards to support visibility into project milestones; manage and communicate project description/charter, budget, meeting notes, schedules, plans, feedback, and any other project-related documents.
Organization Management
- Support the research, development, and maintenance of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), compliance standards, and ITS documentation.
- Develop related ITS content suitable for social media and other communication platforms such as newsletters, orientations, and technology platforms.
- Gather and compile data for ITS on a regular basis to update key performance objectives; collaborate within ITS on the development of annual reports.
- Participates in the development, coordination, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to systems and procedures within ITS and throughout the College.
- Represent ITS in college governance through councils and with volunteerism.
- Complete the required college employee trainings annually.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of administrative work with an emphasis in one or more of the areas of responsibility.
- Advanced organizational, analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills; ability to effectively summarize and present information at all levels.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent knowledge of office productivity tools such Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Office365 apps.
- Outstanding written, interpersonal, customer service, and community relations skills; ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently, accept professional accountability, and meet deadlines.
- Reliable transportation for travel to and from meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- Experience in an educational environment with knowledge of a student information system such as Banner, Colleague, or PeopleSoft.
- Experience coordinating technology projects or other relevant experience managing work that involves complex and/or collaborative work in a shared responsibility.
- Working knowledge of digital content creation fundamentals, including video, design, and other content platforms.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrated understanding of the access and success mission of a community college.
- Ability to communicate in a language in addition to English.
