POSITION: Enrollment Clerk III - Taunton Center (Part-time)
DEPARTMENT: Taunton Center
REPORTS TO: Reports directly to the Dean of the Taunton Center
PRIMARY LOCATION: Taunton, MA
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 1:00pm
HOURLY RATE: $21.93/hr
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Assist with the general office operations conducted by the Taunton Center's enrollment center. Duties include direct service to individuals seeking information related to enrollment. Must perform clerical and data-entry procedures related to enrollment of students and the provision of clerical support to Taunton staff and classroom instructors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with daily operations of the Taunton Center's enrollment center.
- Provides information to potential students and external agencies via telephone, e-mail, and in person conversation
- Maintains filing system and mailing lists
- Operate standard office equipment including a personal computer, printer, copier, etc.
- Organizes office materials and maintains inventory lists
- Creates simple brochures, flyers and bulletin boards to market program information
- Assists instructors in the use of office machines and internal documentation forms
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A diploma as evidence of graduation from the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
II. A diploma as evidence of graduation from a course other than the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school or possession of a Massachusetts high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for a maximum of eight months of the required experience.*
III. A diploma for completion of a one-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for the required experience.*
- Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Publisher)
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Experience with data-entry and retrieval processes
- Knowledge of office equipment technology
- Experience working in a deadline-oriented environment
- Experience working with a diverse population
- Ability to collaborate with co-workers and willingness to cross-train in various areas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- In addition to Microsoft Office, experience preferred with Microsoft Publisher; experience with College Banner System; experience working in an educational environment.
