3. General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates co-occurring, substance abuse, and related programs offered to the inmate population. This individual is responsible for scheduling, monitoring and evaluating programs. This includes monitoring vendor contracts and services being provided, collaborating with other departments to identify and enroll inmates’ in programs and services, facilitate group work, maintain organized data related to programs, ensures timely submission of data, facilitates supervision meetings, and complies with grant reporting requirements.

6. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain regular, written documentation and other record keeping in accordance with policy and procedure.
2. Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with all staff, including security in order to enhance the inmates’ institutional adjustment, rehabilitation and reintegration.
3. Works with staff to schedule, coordinate, manage, generate, and provide fair and consistent programs, reentry, and social services.
4. Works with contractual providers who deliver co-occurring, substance abuse and related programs and services, and monitors deliverance of services according to written contract.
5. Manage a safe and healthy work environment by coordinating with classification and other departments the implementation of programs and social services.
6. Recognize special needs and deliver services by attending classes, seminars, and meetings on behalf of the sheriff and staff, as directed by the Assistant Director of Inmate Services for Recidivism-Reducing Programs.
7. Meets regularly with contractual providers, BCSO departments, community resources / providers and support staff, to coordinate, collaborate and assist with rehabilitation services.
8. Works with the Educational and Vocational departments, Classification Counselors, Inmate Advisors, Post-Release Workers, Volunteer Coordinator, community stakeholders, and others, to develop collaborative partnerships geared to identify common goals and develop evidence based programs.
9. Offers group work and meets with inmates to implement and review treatment plans, reentry planning, and complete assessments, behavior contracts, and other fragments of treatment, program and social services.
10. Ensures that program development is consistent with the agency’s needs assessment results.
11. Evaluates contractual providers and programs and services staff under their direct supervision.
12. Researches, develops and coordinates evidence based programs, social services and reentry planning with inmates.
13. Offers orientation to providers and maintains organized provider records, folders and annual trainings.
14. Monitors and audits inmates’ treatment records to ensure that services are being carried out.
15. Performs any tasks requested or assigned by the Assistant Director of Inmate Services for Recidivism-Reducing Programs.
16. Works with Grants Administrator to collect, evaluate and report data to the funding agency and other relevant agencies.
17. Participates, investigates and submits tests, surveys, assessments tools and other indicators to collect data and measure recidivism
18. Attends trainings and participates in continued education programs.
19. Performs other related duties as designated by the Sheriff.

7. Qualifications Preferred:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or Public Administration.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
3. License in Substance Abuse Disorders.
4. Ability to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
5. Ability to work in collaborative manner with corrections personnel, inmates, and community agencies.
6. Computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Internet Searches.

Pay: $70,210.31 - $92,577.12 per year
