Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Specialist will play a key role in managing and optimizing our inventory processes, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, and supporting the supply chain to meet customer demand efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in inventory management, and experience in the CPG industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely stock replenishment and preventing overstock or stockout situations.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately record and update inventory transactions in the system, including receiving, returns, transfers, and adjustments.
- Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts of inventory to ensure alignment between system records and actual stock levels.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues related to orders, returns, or quality concerns.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to forecast demand, manage lead times, and optimize the flow of materials.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all incoming products meet company quality standards, coordinating with quality assurance when necessary.
- Inventory Audits: Assist with internal and external inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce carrying costs, and streamline inventory processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a CPG or manufacturing environment.
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., MS365, Biotrack, Metrc, Canix, ERP/MRP software) for data analysis and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze inventory data and forecast demand trends.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues and propose effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs as needed, and comfortable working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Location and Hours
This role is on-site in our Canandaigua, NY facility. The required hours are full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the ability to answer compliance-related work inquiries outside of regular business hours, when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
