The Director, External Clinical Collaborations Lead (Oncology) Is Responsible For Driving Clinical Collaborations From Initial Ideation And Evaluation Stage To Execution And Analyses/interpretation Of Results:
- Dealing with different types of clinical collaborations: supply, reverse-supply and selected novel/novel
- Facilitating internal consensus building between Clinical, Medical, Commercial and Business Development
- Providing clinical input during contract negotiations and during ongoing collaboration trial
- Overseeing timely execution of ancillary agreements (pharmacovigilance, supply, quality). Executing/renewing/extending CDAs.
- Leading individual clinical collaborations, including protocol/amendment and HA query input from members of the matrix team (Clinical Development, Regulatory, Translational Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, Safety, Clinical Operations, Clinical Supply)
- Implementation and oversights of clinical collaboration once agreement is executed
- Establish strong partnership and interfaces with external partner companies
- Monitor progress of combination trials with BMS assets under clinical collaborations. Analyze and report ongoing progress and emerging data.
- Interface with internal and partner leadership to ensure strategic and execution alignment, including governance meetings, consensus building and dispute resolution.
- Managing mutual responsibilities by both parties, including data sharing, joint IP, cost sharing, initiating timely review and approval of publications
- Overseeing amendments to existing clinical collaboration agreements, incl. terminations (and wind-down)
- PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent
- At least 8 years of clinical stage drug development experience
- Experienced in dealing with external partners
- Comfort with contractual and legal terms
- Interested in valuation, finance and accounting topics
- Substantial clinical research and protocol development experience
- History of handling multiple, complex studies in parallel
- History of successful external stakeholder management
- Proven ability to work within and lead a matrix team
- Ability to navigate enterprise in the absence of established processes
- Skilled in internal and external collaboration, communication and cross-cultural
- relationship building as key attributes to success in this role
