Position Summary:
The Multiple Myeloma Director is responsible, in partnership with the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead, for setting the strategic vision and strategy for BMS’s MM CAR T business, including (a) optimization of our inline BCMA CAR T, Abecma, and (b) GTM and launch strategy/readiness activities for the pivotal launch of BMS’s first-to-market GPRC5D CAR T, arlo-cel. This role will be a critical interface and point of contact across functional teams to drive to recommendations and decisions on asset strategy and lifecycle management and elevate these decisions to appropriate governance forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Support MM CT Lead in development and execution of the strategic brand plan, GTM strategy, and global launch plan for arlo-cel (first-in-class GPRC5D CART)
Lead WW Abecma Commercial activities, including:
Accountable in partnership with MM CT Lead for determining and executing Abecma optimization strategy and full P&L ownership for delivering against all financial and forecast targets working in collaboration with the markets
Lead the development and execution of the strategic brand plan for Abecma, including incorporation of learnings from markets and launches
Serve as the Commercial lead for Abecma Development Project Team(s) (GPTs), as cross-functional input is needed
Interface with functions (e.g., GDD, Commercial, CTDO) to synthesize inputs into a cohesive cross-functional franchise-level Abecma brand plan
Manage Abecma brand strategy through product lifecycle (e.g., LOE strategy, priority initiatives to drive differentiation, date generation requests, identify and manage strategic risks)
Commercial lead to work with medical and access representatives to execute on advisory boards, KOL interactions, and congress execution

Take the lead with the support from the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead across all responsibilities, driving timely completion of key activities to ensure successful strategy and vision execution throughout asset lifecycle
Conduct analyses to support the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead in key asset decisions
Support the collection and synthesis of cross-functional input (e.g., from GDD, Regulatory, Commercial) to develop recommendations for asset decisions at CT LT or other forums (e.g., go/no go decisions for indication/earlier lines expansion, market & site activation and delays)
Support communications with key stakeholders across BMS Functions (e.g., Commercial, GDD, CTDO) and Markets to ensure alignment on key Abecma asset priorities
Identify risks and functional interdependencies in key brand activities across the enterprise
Work with cross franchise teams to identify business opportunities and initiatives by examining market, key capabilities, supply constraints and competitive landscape to understand where to play
Provide commercial input into forecasting and long-term financial planning, facilitating input from other functions and markets
Serve as the lead with support from the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead for positioning/corporate message development and IR messaging, pressure-testing messaging
Working with the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead to prepare for go-to-market planning including preparation for governance endorsements and worldwide brand team communications
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in biopharma
Bachelor’s degree required, with a life-sciences related discipline (or other scientific education) preferred
Advanced degree preferred, including business and scientific (MBA,MD/PhD/PharmD)
Experience launching growth brands in highly competitive areas, in the US and globally, with proven track record of driving performance and executional excellence
Relevant experience in Hematology / Cell Therapy is preferable
Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry; possesses a global understanding of end-to-end drug development and commercialization processes
Abreast of scientific issues as they impact business development and strategic planning
Results driven, with excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills
Proven ability to conduct thorough analyses to support key asset cross-functional decisions
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work with cross-functional, matrixed teams, maintaining strong relationships and influencing outcomes
Demonstrated ability to navigate through a complex and dynamic healthcare environment
Effectively utilizes information technology systems and program management tools including systems (e.g., MS project, Excel)
