Join us as we expand our cutting-edge Cell Therapy Medical organization. We have an opening for a Senior Director, US Franchise and Customer Strategy Cell Therapy, which will report directly to the Head of US Medical, Cell Therapy (CT).
This individual will play an instrumental role in the US Medical CT leadership team. S/he will create unified strategic plans for external engagement across diseases/therapeutic areas and oversee their seamless execution. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the unique unmet needs as well as the healthcare infrastructure for cell therapy and a strong ability to collaborate effectively across matrix functions.
The Senior Director, US Franchise and Customer Strategy will be responsible for the development and enhancement of strategies that allow the Medical Affairs organization to optimize impact for patients. This individual will be responsible for leveraging data and insights to identify educational gaps as well as unmet needs for cell therapy and develop a strategic plan which considers all matrix functions to best drive impact. S/he will serve as a key strategic and operational partner to the US Cell therapy Medical Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, assess, design, enhance and develop long and short-term strategies (1-5 years) that enhance the impact of Cell Therapy Medical Affairs with customers
- Work seamlessly across the entire BMS enterprise and coordinate the input of stakeholders on topics with franchise-wide impact through strategic partnerships and external engagement
- Build and execute the US Field Medical Cell Therapy portfolio strategy; identify and implement innovative solutions to support scientific exchange
- Assess and evaluate portfolio level field medical activities (e.g. benchmarking insights, competitive intelligence, advisory boards, etc.) and act on appropriate insights and actions
- Monitor insights and external trends to inform and educate stakeholders, developing action plans as needed
- Maximize operational efficiencies for the organization, leveraging data and analytics to support execution
- Identify training needs for the organization, develop and implement plans to address consistently across teams
- Oversee medical activities involved in onboarding activated treatment centers, which includes management of MOLs (Medical onboarding liaisons) and partnership with the cross-functional team
Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) with minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Cell Therapy, Hematology and/or Oncology strongly preferred
- Experience in medical communication and/or external scientific engagement function strongly preferred
- Proven experience establishing and executing strategic direction/vision for an organization; ability to take educated risk, rise above technical expertise; demonstrating judgement, wisdom and understanding of impact
- Experience in managing relationships with suppliers and service providers to deliver customer-focused services
- Effective written and verbal communication, strong matrix leadership management, and enterprise mindset
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across a multifunctional organization and lead by influence
