JOB TITLE: Assistant Principal, Colt Andrews Elementary School ABOUT THE BRISTOL WARREN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: The Bristol Warren Regional School District educates approximately 2800 children from the East Bay communities of Bristol and Warren. The district employs more than 300 professionals and features four elementary schools , one middle school, and a comprehensive high school. In the coming years, the school district will focus on the challenge of building a new high school, improving the student experience and academic achievement at all grade levels, expanding career pathways at the high school and strengthening internal and external communications. MISSION OF THE BWRSD: The mission of the BWRSD is to engage families and community partners in creating vibrant and adaptive learning environments that support all students in realizing their full potential as productive and successful members of our society.REPORTS TO: Reporting to the Principal and/or Superintendent of Schools.OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is charged with assisting the Principal in fulfilling the day-to-day operation of the elementary school and to promote the educational well being of each student in the school.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Hold or be eligible for Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Teacher certification2. Hold or be eligible for Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Certification as a k-12 building administrator or supervisor at the elementary level3. Masters degree or Masters Degree in progress4. Demonstrated experience as a successful teacher, teacher leader or school leader 5.

- Monitor student performance and provide data-driven insights to drive instruction. -Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers, including observation, feedback and coaching (not sure if this will conflict with current coaches)Student Support and School Culture: -Address student discipline issues in a fair and consistent manner. -Work with students, staff and families to address concerns and promote positive behaviors. -Assist in monitoring and addressing student attendance Staff Supervision and Professional Learning: -Assist in the supervision and evaluation of school personnel.
- Develop and Facilitate professional learning activities for staff -Promote a positive and collaborative school culture. Other Duties: -Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.-Assist with budget planning and management. -Represent the school at district meetings and community events as required. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: One Year Only (2025-2026 School Year).
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
