Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain, reconcile, and resolve reconciling items in the general ledger accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare monthly journal entries and support the month-end close process, producing timely and accurate financial reports.
Manage and maintain fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and disposals.
Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accountants to ensure accurate financial records, and function as the backup for AP and AR as needed.
Assist in optimizing accounting procedures by identifying areas for improvement, automating repetitive tasks, standardizing workflows, and implementing technology solutions to reduce manual data entry.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards, helping mitigate risk.
Collaborate with other departments to understand business needs.
Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.
Contribute to various ad hoc tasks as needed.

Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting ERP systems (Dynamics AX preferred).
CPA certification preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
