The production manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process in a sign manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations by planning schedules, managing resources, coordinating activities, and monitoring quality to meet production targets and deadlines, while optimizing costs and maintaining safety standards; essentially acting as a leader in ensuring smooth and timely production of goods.

Responsibilities of the production manager include:

  • Production planning and scheduling: Creating detailed production plans, setting timelines, and allocating resources to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Resource management: Overseeing inventory levels, managing raw materials, and ensuring sufficient supplies are available for production.
  • Staff supervision: Leading and motivating production teams, assigning tasks, and providing training to maintain productivity.
  • Quality control: Implementing quality checks throughout the production process to identify and address any defects.
  • Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving production issues promptly, including equipment malfunctions and operational challenges.
  • Continuous improvement: Implementing new technologies and process improvements to optimize production efficiency.
  • Safety compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures within the production area.
  • Communication and collaboration: Maintaining clear communication with other departments like sales, engineering, and quality control.
  • Industry Standards: Overseeing Underwriter's Laboratory Guidelines and making sure all electrical components meet UL Standard 48.

  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of sign manufacturing processes, metal fabrication, equipment, and production techniques

Candidate requirements:

  • 5 years management experience
  • Relevant sign industry experience and strong technical knowledge can be considered in some cases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
