What You'll Do :
As Director of Collections, you will be responsible for leading a team of Servicing & Collection Specialists in the managing and overseeing of the company's service delivery and collection process. Your primary objective will be to ensure every member of the team provides timely and efficient customer service, and collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
As Director of Servicing & Collection Operation, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing our servicing & collections team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize collections efforts, manage team performance, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Primary responsibilities include :
Strategy
- Design & implement appropriate collection strategies based on portfolio performance.
- Design & implement appropriate outsourcing strategies to maximize recoveries.
- Design & implement appropriate servicing strategies for an effective and efficient customer experience.
People
Recruit, train, and coach Servicing & Collection Specialists as the department grows.Manage & Mentor team members, provide support, and hold them accountable for success.Develop & implement appropriate incentive programs to influence / change behavior.Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews to assess team performance and provide feedback.Process
Monitor and improve Servicing and Collection Specialist performance from both a compliance and profitability standpoint.Develop and implement KPIs and metrics to track team performance and drive results.Develop and implement Quality Assurance program.Manage and liaise with outside collection agencies, and attorneys.Technology
Support IVR operational configuration & maintenance.Support Telephony operational configuration & maintenance.Support CRM operational configurations & maintenance.Interact with technology service providers on business requirements, participate in user acceptance testing, and facilitate change management.Other
Work collaboratively with accounting, sales, and underwriting departments to achieve servicing & collection goals.Work with key business partners to develop updated department policies and procedures, as well as department performance metrics.Directly handle a caseload of servicing & collection accounts including outreach, negotiation, monitoring and escalating collection efforts, as needed.Qualifications & Requirements
Position requirements include :
Bachelor’s degree or appropriate work experience
8 years collection experience, preferably in consumer or commercial lending3 years of people managementStrong oral and written communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.Expert level of comfort and confidence on the telephone, listening and negotiating.Ability to maintain calm disposition when working through challenging situations.Advanced computer skills, analysis skills using Excel, Knowledge of CRM & Telephony systems.Detail oriented and strong ability to multi-task.Willingness to learn and adapt to changes.What you get from us :
